The focal point of this monograph is on the migration influence on the process of artistic creativity, with the focus on Slovenian immigrants in Buenos Aires – the title is a combination of words Buenos Aires and Bellas Artes, later meaning fine arts in Spanish. The book introduces systematic and interdisciplinary approach to creativity on theoretical level and stresses the individual’s point of view on migration processes, experiences and creativity. Main questions are how migrants position themselves in art worlds in accordance to ethnic/local, transnacional and global connections and what cultural production reveals about migrant’s identity construction. To answer these questions five individual life stories are not only presented and analysed, but also put in the wider social, economic and cultural context of the receiving society.
