Research interests

Lucija Klun received her MA in sociology of culture at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. In 2019, she entered a PhD programme in social pedagogy at the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana. During her studies, she took part in several projects, examining the inclusivity of educational establishments, especially in relation to minority groups. Her MA work revolved around the disposition of speech and language in children, discursive marginalization and reproduction of social inequality. Under the mentorship of Dr Jure Gombač, she continues her research work on social mechanisms relating to the inclusion/exclusion of children from marginalized backgrounds in education and social care, with stress on families and children who have experiences with migration. 

Research interests: migration, minority groups, sociology of education, sociology of childhood, social pedagogy
