The project was financially supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia. The first part of the research dates back to 1848 and the results were published in the ISI magazine Two Homelands. In terms of content, this part covers cultural figures and intellectuals who worked in Croatia from the 16th or 17th century until the turning point of 1848. They were presented through life stories in their professional and amateur work. The second part of the research concerns Slovenian cultural figures and intellectuals in Croatia from 1850 to 1860, i.e. until the period of the breakdown of Bach's absolutism. There is a particular accent on the life and work of the Slovenian cultural figure, high school professor and publicist Jerne Franclj (1821–1889).
