Only Those with Higher Education Emigrate. Is This True?

Description

Migrations are far from shocking in the areas of 21st century Slovenia, but rather a constant for the past two hundred years. During the 2010-2017 period, the country saw emigration and immigration of a steady amount of Slovenian inhabitants. Closer attention is given to 2017, when 17,555 people moved from and 18,808 moved to Slovenia. The report aims to draw attention to key factors of immigration (employment, family reunification, education), compare the educational level between immigrants and emigrants, and stress the causes behind the educational or professional structures of immigrant populations (workforce demand, working conditions in contrast to other countries, work permits).
