Marina Lukšič-Hacin is a senior research fellow and associate professor of Sociology. She is the head of the Institute for Slovenian Emigration and Migration at ZRC SAZU and the director of the European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR) program at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Nova Gorica. Additionally, she is a lecturer at the University of Nova Gorica, the University of Ljubljana and the University of Stavanger (Norway). She is the Editor-in-Charge of the international scientific journal Two Homelands, http://twohomelands.zrc-sazu.si/.
The areas of her research and teaching work are migration and ethnic studies, multiculturalism, identity and Slovenian emigration.
