Barbara Beznec graduated in Political Science of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University in Ljubljana, where she later earned her PhD on the subject of European Citizenship. As a researcher and expert in migration, she has collaborated with various institutes and universities in Slovenia and abroad. From 2006 to 2012 she acted as the editor-in-chief of the Journal for the Critique of Science, Imagination, and New Anthropology.
Fields of work: European integrations, European border regime, Balkan migration route, migration policies and practices, social, political and economic inclusiveness.
